Shopify Shipping Integrations

Shopify Shipping Integrations

In this article we will tell you everything related to the configuration / integration of shipping providers in shopify (Shipping Carriers).

For all those entrepreneurs who want to have an online store, it is very important to have defined in advance how they are going to solve the logistics operation for their products to reach their customers.

We must define who will be our logistics provider, if we will do it ourselves and what will be the rates charged for this service.

It is important as a sales and customer satisfaction motivator that the customer knows in advance all the expenses related to his order, so it is highly recommended to add a section in our online store where these expenses are detailed.

It is also advisable to add shipping costs at the time of purchase, they can be predefined or automatically calculated from the shipping provider.

Below we will explain how to configure shipping costs in your Shopify store.

The input may vary depending on the language in which you have configured your panel:

Add a manual rate

  1. Go to Settings => Settings => Shipping and delivery
  2. Next to the profile we want to modify, click on Manage Rates.
  3. Shopify will present us with a list of Zones for shipping, we can either create a new zone (click on add a new zone), or add a rate (click on add rate).
  4. When we press Add rate, the system will ask us to add a name and a price, optionally we will have the button “Add conditions” in case we want that rate to be shown only if the mentioned conditions are fulfilled
  5. Click Done and then click Save.

Adding an automatic rate

An automatic rate is a rate that is automatically provided by the carrier (e.g. FedEX, UPS, USPS, DHL) (In Arg. for example: Andreani).

In order to provide these automatic rates it is necessary to have shopify's Advanced plan (See plans).

There is an option with an additional monthly charge to the lower plans to incorporate it, if you want to incorporate this feature to a plan that is not advanced contact us and we will explain you how to do it.

We recommend when incorporating this option that you have correctly configured the properties of your products, such as height, width and weight, since these are the parameters used by the shipping operators to provide the costs to the customer.

  1. Go to Settings => Settings => Shipping and delivery
  2. Next to the profile we want to modify, click on Manage Rates.
  3. Shopify will present us with a list of Zones for shipping, we can create a new zone (to do this click on add a new zone), or add a rate (to do this click on add rate).
  4. When we click on Add rate shopify will present us with a modal, there Choose: Use the carrier or the application to calculate rates.
  5. In the menu to select choose the shipping provider (if you do not see your provider here is likely that you do not have the integration enabled)
  6. Choose the shipping methods of the service you want to show to your customers at checkout.
  7. Click Save
