This Privacy Policy explains how the Digital Sommelier Mini App (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information when you use our wine-recommendation features inside Shopify Shop Minis.

By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. No Personal Data Collected or Stored

We do not collect, store, process, or share any personal information from users.

  • We do not track your name, email, address, or any identifying data.

  • We do not create user profiles, analytics, or behavioral data tracking.

  • All recommendations are generated on-device or via Shopify infrastructure and are not linked to any identifiable information.

Any data entered or selected by the user (e.g., wine preferences, taste notes, or simple choices) is processed ephemerally and discarded immediately after the recommendation is provided.

2. No Data Shared With Third Parties

Because we do not collect user data, we do not share any information with:

  • Third-party companies

  • Advertisers

  • Merchants

  • VN Studios

  • Any external API or service, except for technical operation managed by Shopify

Your interactions with the App remain local to your session.

3. Purpose of the App

The App provides general, non-binding wine recommendations for entertainment and convenience purposes.

The App does not:

  • Guarantee product availability

  • Guarantee accuracy or suitability of any recommendation

  • Provide professional sommelier, medical, or dietary guidance

  • Influence purchasing decisions in any official or certified manner

All decisions made based on the App’s recommendations are solely the user’s responsibility.

4. No Association or Endorsement

The App is an independent tool and has no affiliation, endorsement, sponsorship, or commercial association with:

  • Any wineries, wine brands, or distributors

  • Any alcohol merchants or retailers

  • Shopify, Shopify merchants, or third-party vendors

  • VN Studios

All product images and descriptions, if displayed, belong to their respective merchants on Shopify and are shown purely for user convenience.

5. “As-Is” Service Disclaimer

The App is provided strictly on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis.

VN Studios, the developers, Shopify, and any related parties make no warranties—express or implied—regarding:

  • Accuracy or completeness of wine recommendations

  • Merchant products, pricing, availability, or quality

  • App performance, reliability, uptime, or compatibility

Your use of the App is solely at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • VN Studios

  • The developers

  • Shopify

  • Related affiliates, team members, or contributors

Are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages resulting from:

  • Use or inability to use the App

  • Reliance on recommendations

  • Purchasing decisions

  • Misinterpretation of content

  • Technical issues, bugs, or downtime

By using the App, you release VN Studios and all related parties from any and all claims, known or unknown.

7. Alcohol Consumption Responsibility

The App provides recommendations for alcoholic beverages. By using it, you confirm that:

  • You are of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction.

  • You consume alcohol responsibly.

  • You acknowledge that all decisions related to alcohol purchase or consumption are made entirely at your own discretion and risk.

The App does not promote or encourage irresponsible drinking.

8. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
