Technical Lead

In this role, you will act as a technical advisor and architecture reference across e-commerce projects, helping translate business needs into clear technical solutions.

You will work closely with project managers, clients, designers, developers, and other internal teams to analyze requirements, validate business intentions, create first estimates, define implementation strategies, and guide the development team through execution, deployment, and launch.

You will also help developers grow by improving technical criteria, promoting best practices, and creating learning paths and training opportunities for the team.

• Act as a technical reference for architecture decisions across e-commerce and Shopify projects.
• Work with project managers and clients during the discovery, analysis, and construction process.
• Review business and technical requirements with a business-oriented mindset.
• Validate the intention behind requirements and identify risks, gaps, and opportunities.
• Create the necessary technical and functional questions to properly define project requirements.
• Provide first technical estimates based on project scope and complexity.
• Translate approved requirements into clear development tasks and tickets.
• Coordinate developers to ensure the team understands the technical approach, priorities, and expected results.
• Follow up on development progress and support the team in removing technical blockers.
• Guide the team in backend, frontend, full-stack, and e-commerce development decisions.
• Support the deployment and launching process for Shopify and e-commerce projects.
• Collaborate with developers to improve code quality, development criteria, and best practices.
• Review technical solutions and ensure they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with project goals.
• Help define internal development standards, documentation, and technical processes.
• Create knowledge paths and training plans to support developer growth.
• Orchestrate the use of AI inside the company by promoting tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, and AI agents to improve development workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and increase resolution speed.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI tools, agents, and integrations to improve internal processes and client solutions.
• Work cross-functionally with project managers, designers, QA, developers, and client stakeholders.

• Experience with Shopify Plus projects.
• Experience with Shopify app development, Shopify Functions, Checkout UI Extensions, or Shopify APIs.
• Experience with Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Liquid, PHP, Laravel, MySQL, or similar technologies.
• Experience with Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS or DigitalOcean.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, monitoring, and logging tools.
• Experience working with integrations involving ERPs, CRMs, OMS, PIMs, logistics platforms, payment providers, or other third-party systems.
• Experience with AI APIs, AI agents, internal automations, or AI-powered e-commerce solutions.
• Experience creating internal technical documentation, standards, and reusable development processes.
